DARE celebrates that spirit of curiosity and experimentation, and the discoveries—large and small—that can come from trying something different.
The title takes on a different meaning for each artist. For some, the work explores subjects that invite viewers to look again or consider a different perspective. For others, the challenge is more personal: trying an unfamiliar material, experimenting with a new technique, or moving beyond a familiar way of working. Creating art always involves some uncertainty and a willingness to take chances.
Movement Beneath Stillness
Movement Beneath Stillness explores landscapes shaped by time—plaster, sand, and oils settling into quiet blues and silvers that echo stone, sea, and ice. Daring can be gentle: a trust in silence, restraint, and slow transformation. A moment of calm and inviting you to pause, breathe, and find beauty in stillness.
Echoes Beneath Stillness I, II, III
A continuation of Movement Beneath Stillness, these textured abstracts explore the quiet dialogue between water, light, and time. Layered plaster, sand, and luminous blues reveal gentle movement beneath calm surfaces, inviting reflection and renewal and for you to uncover moments of stillness and light.

This painting is an invitation to trust quiet beginnings. Textured layers of turquoise and bronze evoke landscapes where life emerges gently, shaped by light rather than force. Though created before this series, it is the first step toward peace through movement honoring the quiet courage to keep creating and guide us toward who we are becoming.
